What's new

2 Cool

Yep, the contractor in El Paso back in early 2006 working on a Continental 737 with a CFM-56 wished they had fixed IGV's. That was ugly. I had a friend who had to go repair that one to bring it back to IAH. Bad scene.

Years ago there was an Aloha Airlines mechanic that was grabbed by a 737-200. He lost an arm but survived.

PIT had an A-7 squadron one time and someone got it. He may have lived...I'm not sure....I remember stories of compressor stall popping someone back out the inlet. I thought they had a fatality here though.

The first aircraft I ever learned to run engines on was an A-7 at NAS Millington.

One of it's nicknames in the Navy was the man eater. By the time I hit the west coast almost all the fleet units had switched to the Hornet. It did go out with a bang though. The last two squadrons flew missions in Desert Storm.

More like not using your brain flying. If it's that close that means you either did some serious miscalculations or you knew and did it anyway. Which means you're stupid.

Seen them at most airports, we had them in TPA and CLT.

I assume you talking about injestion boxes...US does not have them in CLT...They have them shown in their Markings Guide, but do not require them at this time...
