That got me thinking. Lately I've been seeing on Facebook memes about how there should be a constitutional amendment stating that the president of the US would be required to have served in the military. Of course this has Obama in since he was never in the military.

Instead of that maybe the requirement should be that anyone elected president should have any able bodied family member be drafted into the military. And not some cushy support job in the Pentagon either.

 
Because the right gets a hard on over tax cuts and another hard on over getting involved in the middle east...I'd propose this - everybody gets an initial tax cut.  You can keep it if you send yourself or your kids over to the middle east to help kick ISIS ass.  Doesn't matter if you make $10,000 or $10 million in taxable income.  our kid or your tax cut.   If you don't want to do that, then the government keeps your cut.  I wonder how many righties here would be willing to send their son or daughter over there so they could keep their tax cut.

Just make the verbiage of the tax cut law that a family member must serve in the country we are fighting.

When it comes to REPUGS  fighting Wars, they have NO problem getting REPUGS to Fight.  Thats why the military is LOADED with a HUGE amount of  YAY - HOO's from the RED states.  I mean. where else can you get a FREE GUN and ALL the Ammo you need, and 'over shooting' is not frowned on.  I mean, you'll make way more money than you were making at walmart in Oklahoma or Georgia or Alabama or Texas   etc..  etc.     Christ, you even get free SHOES and GRITS are Always on the Menu.  As a US Navy cook on board Ship, I could'nt understand...WHY ..we went through Soooooo  many GRITS.  Finally it hit me when 7 out of 10 guys going through the chow line...would look like BUBBA or JETHRO or BILLY RAY, Asking if they could have an extra portion of GRITS on top of thier ...over easy  EGGS !

Perhaps. Fiorina wouldn't have been in the debate by the original rules, yet in the post-Debate #1 polls, she was clearly climbing into the middle of the pack. Her continuing to rise poll numbers reinforce the notion it was a good call on the part of CNN and the RNC.

Had she been excluded, I'm sure you or someone else would be parading out with the War on Women memes.

Maybe it was Trump's direct attacks on her that made them do it, since it was great red meat for the viewers. Then again, that's part of the reason her poll numbers are climbing -- she had answers and poise when Trump's misogyny was in full swing. People took notice.

Either way, it was the right thing to do. She won the second debate in the eyes of a lot of people. Had she been relegated to the Kiddie Table, she would have won that one as well, but still be lagging in terms of name recognition.

I think it was the right decision in so far as letting her on the podium.  Not punting off the #11 was wrong in my opinion.  Keeping them on because they dod not want to ruffle some feather was BS in my opinion.

While the leftosphere frets about Donald Trump, there's finally a poll out which shows reality vs. reality TV....


Of the three GOP candidates mentioned above, Walker had the largest lead over Clinton: 47/38 (CO), 45/37 (IA) and 43/40 (VA) and Rubio came in only slightly lower. Matched up against Biden and Sanders, the leads were similar.
 

 

I'd guess he'll be one of the first to withdraw, and that only 8 or 9 actually are still campaigning come February.

Bush,Rubio, Christie Walker ,Paul Pataki  money as usual will determine who comes out , some others I could see as  VP candidate

I don't care if she is a woman, man or transgender - her business record is that she took a well respected company and turned it into a maker of crap.  Her first move was to eliminate 30,000 jobs, and her biggest regret is that she didn't eliminate more sooner.
