Never say never. I am not all that old and I have said that "this is the worst POTUS ever and no one could do worse" and yet somehow the political gods find a way to prove me wrong. I said it with Tricky Dick, Ford, Reagan, and now W. Given political history being what it is, I am really scared what the future hold for this nation. The idea of a Huckabee or a Thompson getting into power is a reality in this country because the people are easily fooled by smoke and mirrors.

Congress in its infinite wisdom will being giving us back $600 or so of our money which it does not have do to the fact that Congress and the POTUS have put us $9 TRILLION in debt because of their incompetence. They will have squandered over $1 Trillion on Iraq with nothing to show and now they are going to give me $600 to shut me up. So they just added another $150 billion on to the debt that someone will have to repay at some point in time. All this because they were to freaking lazy and greedy to do the job we hired the idiots to do.

We deserve what we get.

I am happy to see that they generally limited the $$$ to those who will likely spend it the quickest; rather than giving it to those who would likely put it in a savings account, thereby doing nothing to spur the economy.

When the gov uses figures in the billions and trillions it is to confuse us because most cannot conceive
that amount. It sounds like a lot but how many have ever seen a billion, trillion, or even a million dollars? (Besides that casino in Vegas that has an encased million that you can take a picture of!)

So they spent a cabillion on the war. Big Deal. Funny how we never are told of the profits. Oil is one of the biggest profits of the war. Don't let them kid you, Iraqi oil is being sold somewhere. So if the gov is spending a lot on the war, it is making money elsewhere. Taxpayers are just gravy, btw.

May sound like a conspiracy theory but let me go with what I know...

Today we must all recycle...even though nobody grasps the concept(Believe ME you don't!!!). We want to elimate trash and all the environmentally unfriendly BS it creates. Trash costs a municipality money, while recycling makes the municipality a tidy profit. Think municipality as micro and feds as macro. One influences the other. $$$$$ in the bank. And the masses look at the negative that matters little to the govs.

Where do you come up with this? Unless the money from the oil is going to the US treasury, We are not making squat on Iraq. The oil companies are making out like bandits (they sure as hell are not passing along any savings to us). Some politicians might be getting bribed. The US tax payer is taking a bath because not a penny is going into the US treasury coffers. We will have spent well over $1 trillion dollars. That is over 10% of our national debt. If you cannot comprehend that amount that is not my fault. I sure as hell can. Show me some receipts for the oil we got free from Iraq? Hell, show me any receipt for anything we made off Iraq. We can deduct that from over $1 trillion they owe us.

Tax payers are gravy? What other sources of revenue does the US government have? Did hey go into business and not tell us? If they did I am guessing it looses revenue. US government could not run a lemonade stand and make a profit.

Just read in todays paper....we most likely WILL be going in....to AFGHANISTAN. Odd...I thought we'd done the job in Afghanistan....isn't that why we went over to Iraq? Because it was "Mission Accomplished" in Afghanistan? Ohhh...it's coming back to me now....we had a little trouble finding OBL, and Saddam was over there, and he was a bad guy who tried to kill Bush's dad (not that W would miss dad...he doesn't seem to listen to him)...and well...the rest is history.
