407D...I felt inclined to take you up on your offer to open a topic about it, but darned if I know what to say about it.
I s'pose we could do a poll, and ask how many have had a tailboom fall off their ship, or we could just meet at a local watering hole and drink ourselves silly reminiscing about the old days a CHL, laughing all the way, knowing that BM is likely at the age where his pension is looking mighty good. Maybe once the dead wood is gone, maybe we could slide on over to the new CHL and see what they have to offer.
I got my new Vertical mag today and it seems like CHL is interested in a nice shiny new 135 for their helinas operation. I'm still trying to picture the red white and blue scheme on one of those babies. It's not a scheme that bodes well with the airframe style.

And T-Rex....buy me a ticket for the Calgary Police's lottery for a new helicopter. It's a cause I'd be glad to support, especially since the 120 is a possibility over another 520N or 600N   (where was the mention of a Bell product  )

Mag,

Got the winning ticket already...I hope...

I have good info that the CPS is getting another 520N....Good luck I really don't care as long as it is quiet...Dam thing flies at night LOW over the city, including my house..Whats Transport Canada's Enforcement phone # anyways???

Magseal,

Have you lost your friggin mind!!!!! 🙁  The only worse thing than getting a job with Canadian is going back to work for Canadian!!!
Didn't you learn anything the first time around??!
You were kidding right?! Please say you were kidding!!! 😱

You could call enforcement t-rex, but this is what they'll say...

Permissible Low Altitude Flight
602.15 (1) A person may operate an aircraft at altitudes and distances less than those specified in subsection 602.14(2) where the aircraft is operated at altitudes and distances that are no less than necessary for the purposes of the operation in which the aircraft is engaged, the aircraft is operated without creating a hazard to persons or property on the surface and the aircraft is operated

(a) for the purpose of a police operation that is conducted in the service of a police authority;

well then, lets demand twin engine reliability if they want to be exempt from protecting me from hazards of single engine failure (at night especially). At least during the day, they may see the driveway is much different from the roof and elect to land there instead.
EC 135's and 145's for all the police forces in canada!!!!!

Sharky,

I understand what the CARs rules are. How do you operate a single engine over a city, at night and not create a hazard? I have some years in a 500, know all to well how they handle in a flame out! Down...Straight down.

If it wasn't for the low flying...there is a noise issue too. !

Maggie,

The Canadian thing? Ya, I am never going back there..even if all the deadwood left!..There was plenty more in line at that place!....Slap..Slap..what are you thinking? I think i am phoning your medical director there..an increase of your medication is required!!!

Good question t-rex. Myself, I'm in no hurry for a night endorsement, esp flying single engine.

Slacky,

You're so ugly, you should be limited to night flying. 🙂UGLY SMILE🙂

Price Charming,

Speaking of jetisoning one's bodily matter, we were out squashing catipillars this morning. Its just not the same without you there, filling zip-loc bags with last nights spagetti. 😀

kiss kiss
