Could someone tell me how I can find info on the engine configuration in the US A320's? Are they CFM's, IAE's, or some mix?
Thanx
Thanx
The old east planes are CFMs, the old West are IAEs, the new 321s are also both and all future deliveries are suppose to be IAEs
The N5xx series tail numbers are IAE and the others are CFM.So is there an online database somewhere that provides a specific breakdown of how many aircraft are configured with each engine?
They were previously ordered, already spec'd out, and in production.I still can't understand why any of the East 321's have been delivered with the CFM's in the first place. Why this wasn't standardized ASAP following the merger is beyond me.

That's the reason, presumably the engine contract. The airplanes haven't been sitting somewhere or in production since 2005 when Airbus agreed to refund the deposit/progress payments and US canceled the delivery positions.I believe we had a contractual obligation to take delivery of a certain amount of frames equipped with CFMs.
