UA EXpres starts LAX_OKC.This should be a AA flight if not a eagle flight since AA ran 2 727s on this route against 2 TWA 727s at the same time. Amazing how times change with more poeple flying.

You are kidding right? Why start service that has already been proven to work? Instead, I think we should do another DFW-ORD route...Oh wait ....Maybe another DFW-LGA route....There is NEVER enough of those...🙁

What Unity?

Don't forget those good old DFW-SAT or DFW-AUS. Better yet, LAX-JFK (Geez, we already have 11 of them).

Not just LAX-OKC, but LAX-OKC-TUL-JFK.

And LAX-MEM-BNA-JFK.

Get a couple of 707s out of storage.
Oh, they're not?
OK, fly 'em with RJs.

And can anyone find a DC-6 or DC-7 to fly
LAX-PHX-TUS-OKC-TUL-BNA-DCA-LGA?

What makes you think it will be profitable for UAX?...

Oldies, you can already fly LAX-XNA-ORD-CMH-LGA on an RJ. Does that satisfy your needs?

One of the first lines I held back in '72 went LGA-STL-TUL-OKC-LAX-SFO. Another I recall came back from LAX like this: LAX-ABQ-AMA-ICT-ORD-LGA. Milk runs like this were common before the hub and spoke era.

I once talked onboard with a lady who had been an AA flight attendant back in the early 50's. She told me that her favorite trip when she was based in Nashville (the first time we had a base there) was a Nashville-New York trip with a 24 hour layover in NYC (oh, the good ole days).

She said you could work the trip in two different directions--either 10 legs to New York and 4 legs home or 4 legs to New York and 10 legs home! The 10 leg side was something like Nashville, Chattanooga, Asheville, Charlotte, etc. all the way up.

My first airplane ride (when I was 12) was on a Southern Airways DC-3 from BHM to MEM (approx. 250 miles by car). It took 2.5 hours because we landed at Tuscaloosa, Al, Columbus, MS, and Tupelo, MS before getting to MEM.

AA didn't serve CHA, AVL or CLT, so the four-leg
route was something like BNA-TYS-DCA-PHL-LGA.

Now for a ten-legger, try LGA-SYR-ROC-BUF-CLE-
CAK-CMH-DAY-CVG-SDF-BNA. But wait, there's more!
Change crew and proceed BNA-MEM-LIT-DAL-ACF, and
maybe even on to MAF and ELP.

All on a Convair 240. 40 pax, 2 pilots, one stew.
(Think early scenes in "Three Guys Named Mike.")
