A319 nmbr 703 will complete flying on saturday 11/8/03 and be out of time
for its heavy check. Acft is programmed to be readied and ferried to the
goodyear facility in the next few days.

True fact......Acft 703 will make it's last revenued trip from BZE to CLT today...ETA 1820.

YOU SHOW US DAVE!!! Keep parking the aircraft in the desert and give more people the opportunity to explore other carriers! That is just a great idea to expand customer base.(NOT) By the way are we still paying the leases on those aircraft sitting idle in the desert and not generating any revenue??? I can't wait to see the 10K report with those charges explained, and I thought the 146 write off was bad. Yes, you are truly doing a wonderful job running this company(into the ground) and are well worth the salary+ bonus's you are paid!!!!

I'd like to sue the company for breach of contract. They better get three planes running.

FYI...calls from Mobile this morning were indicating that Acft 700 was slated to be ready for a "Test Flight" at 1200 today.

As long as we are below 279, I believe what we have here is a MAJOR violation of the pilots contract....

Chip, calling Chip, come-in Chip.......

He fails to see the light on this PITbull...I've tried to reach him on the subject...honestly, it tells me how right my views are in retrospect. (LOL)

AOG:

I do not read every post, but here is what the ALPA contract states in the minimum aircraft section of the supplemental restructuring agreement. "The minimum fleet count is 279 aircraft (excluding SJs but including permanent bid plus 8% for active spares) with daily utilization rate measured monthly of no less than 10 hours."

Regards,

Chip

So Chip, no mumbo jumbo, in plain English....do we have a dispute here or not?

Well Chipper-rooh,

Heres the facts. Excluding small jets....which we currenlty operate ZERO.

The Fleet is at 276. Vs. the agreed upon figure of 279

Acft 700 returned to service from ST Mobile Aerospace today....after a number of pilot sqwaks were resolved in CLT....and no thanks to the arrogance of a U Foreman assigned to the Acft got in the way. 700 is in fact in DFW tonight.

Acft 701 is sitting in Mobile...Not as an "Active Spare" , Not in Maintenance and Not in a Flyable state due to legal posturing and continued arrogance (In-Storage)

Acft 702 is sitting in GYR......Not as an "Active Spare" , Not in Maintenance ..and Not in a Flyable
state due to legal posturing and continued arrogance. (In Storage)

Acft 703 is sitting in CLT..Timed out , Not an "Active Spare" , Not in Maintenance ..and not in a Flyable state due to legal posturing and continued arrogance....it will in fact depart CLT for GYR and join the others as "In Storage". Does your contract grant exemptions for "In-Storage"....or as the books call it WFU ???

Maybe the term "Active Spare" is screwing with people? An Active Spare is an Acft that Captain Munn and his esteemed F/O can jump in , fire up and go make us money with when instructed to do so.

We have 3 A319's sitting on the sidelines "In-Storage" or awaiting to be "Pickled" if you prefer?

These Acft are timed out per FAA Regs, They are not capable of "Turn-Key" revenued flight...so an "Active Spare" they are not !!!!....and more is coming to a theatre near U

I have a contractual obligation with myself to operate 1 active airframe.

I had a rather vivid dream last night, and I dreamed that I actually owned my very own malibu meridian. Thinking realistically (in terms of my own hours), I dreamed perhaps a Cirrus SR22.....

I find myself in a contractual violation with myself.

All kidding aside, I'd love to know where the 279 contract number stands. I'd assume that the %8 that Chip mentions allows for some degree of latitude.

I'd be shocked if the 10 airframes up for S checks are able to the cycled thru mobile, CLT, PIT, or anywhere else before the court rules one way or another. I would not be shocked if ALPA did not complain about this, as the pension issue (because it impacts the old, not the young whom ALPA would rather eat) does not #### until after a decision is reached by the 3rd circuit.

Following bankruptcy emergence, US Airways had one A320 and six A319s in storage.

Two of the A319s are being returned to service and are becoming EOW equipped. In addition, the court permitted ST Mobile Aerospace to complete the aircraft overhaul on one A319.

Chip

Chip,

Excluding the Acft that was court ordered to be worked by ST Mobile Aerospace (700) which is now returned to revenued operations as I stated. Your other "Projected" returns do not as we speak satisfy the demands or the spirit of the 279 Acft Fleet.

We have 3 A319's currently outside of the scope of our agreement...I do believe my explanation satifies the difference in implied terminology.

You speak of two A319's being returned from storage and being EOW equipped....I ask are they on the property now? The answer is NO , furthermore whom will be performing the EOW upgrade of our Acft?....If it ain't the IAM force at U...we have yet another problem to contend with , beyond the current fleet count.

Needless to say....we will soon have 9 A319's out of service...and outside of the realm of operational , outside the in maintenance clause...and certainly nothing anyone with an IQ higher than their shoe size can qualify as an "Active Spare" in real world terms.

The immediate return of the Acft that U has in storage ( one A320 and six A319's) following BK emergence will not offset the balance...and in time will further upset the balance if we continue the present course?

somewhere in the mtc data base is a catagory titled... active fleet...giving all
current tail nmbrs and status.
It shouldn t be to difficult to get a hard count.
This is from memory...someone help me out please.
