Rather than give advice on prostituting underage girls, human trafficking and cheating on taxes, the attorney general's office found ACORN members at times caught on to the scheme and called the police in the portions of the videos that were cut.

While ACORN is by no means innocent, the tape that started this whole mess was nothing but a fraud. FOX and the rest of the major net works bought into to it with to verification. I wonder if any apologies to Mr. Vera will be forthcoming. He did the right thing and got smeared and fired for his troubles.

Not so much, the problem is the footage Maddow shows is actually an edited video! The unedited video revelation she leads her story with, has been released and available for all to see since September.

According to the AG and the investigation on the video that FOX played and those num-nuts you want to call journalists did some editing that too call selective would be overly polite.

Where were these people when Dick Cheney's former company Halliburton and its former subsidiary KBR were getting billions of dollars in no bid contracts in the run up to and during the Iraq War? Where was that self righteous indignation when said company was over charging the US government for services? Or when KBR did shoddy electrical work resulting in the death of US servicemen? How about the fact that at the same time Halliburton/KBR was racking in all this money from the US government US soldiers were getting blown up in unarmored HUMVEES.

MSM means Main Stream Media. Is FOX part of the MSM? By definition it would be of course. However it was only them who reported the ACORN scandal as the rest of the MSM who avoided it like the plague.

Even so much that the NYT admitted to spiked a story about the Obama-Acorn relationship before the 2008 elections. In their own words "Congressional Testimony: ‘Game-Changer’ Article Would Have Connected Campaign With ACORN" if they would have reported it.

What would I consider as acceptable media? That's a generic question. I would look at sources that would reference the facts for one to make a determination on. Outside of any obvious left/right bias.
