This type of hope is misplaced even though there are very positive signs about capacity discipline and an increase in pricing power. However, it is very likely that there will be a substantial disruption of fuel supplies again next summer since the Gulf of Mexico is expected to continue to see significantly increased hurricane activity for at least several more years of the current cycle. Even if refinery capacity is spared, production facilties will be regularly evacuated and damaged in many parts of the Gulf several times a season.
