Airlines Facing Survival Of Fittest

CWA give everything last round. Once the pilots let the 279 jet language go, 2/3 of us will get a $7.00 an hour pay cut (MAA) without giving any additional concessions....

To Siegel, a competitive cost structure means that U employees will have to work for much LESS than the LCCs to compensate for the bloated management staff, inflated senior salaries/hidden bonuses, and the extra costs associated with running a hub and spoke international carrier. These guys are milking the company rank and file for as long as they can. The more they can bleed the employees the longer they can draw salary and eventually sell-off routes and gates when the end comes. Of course, they'll be some hidden bonuses for that.

Siegel is not a man of leadership, vision, talent, or drive. The word "shoeclerk" comes to mind, however.
