American Airlines Waits For No One

• American Airlines waits for no one... except New York Sen. Hillary Clinton.

Passengers on an American Airlines flight to San Diego were delayed an hour and a half last week after the scheduled departure time from JFK because of Clinton's lateness, according to reports in the New York Post.

A few people in first class found out the reason for the delay when an unapologetic Clinton and her entourage hurried onto the plane so she could make it to a book signing for her memoir, Living History.

An airline rep said it doesn't comment on passengers, but disputed the account, insisting: "Our policy is not to hold planes for anyone."

Sure.

Gigi,
This is old and unsubstantiated news. With our awful economy and the hardships of our own company and employees (all under your beloved "resident's" watch [I cannot use the word President with good conscience when referring to him]), you think this type of non-news is worth digging up from whatever archives you haunt? I worked a flight last year from Dallas to DCA with Dick Army as the last boarded passenger and we were delayed by his tardiness (granted, it was not for an hour an a half, but it was a delay nonetheless). Nobody cried to the press about that; I think you guys should concentrate on the real news: the deplorable state of affairs in our nation, our disastrous role on the world stage, the deplorable living conditions our soldiers are subjected to in Iraq, our ongoing presence in Iraq with zero exit strategy as innocents and soldiers are killed almost everyday, the hush-hush papers concerning Saudi Arabia (Bush's friends, NOT ours), etc...
Gigi, read some papers from France, Brazil, Italy or Hong Kong. You will see some real news that conveniently never makes it to Fox or the Wallstreet Journal.

ART TANG:
Why don't you take your political opinions to the political forums. There's plenty of them out there.

By the way, you sound like a prime candidate for a Democratic White House Intern!

Ms Rodham-Clinton is going to be President after W's second term, and American is afraid to alienate her. She has a VERY long memory.

And, in the short term, there is the matter of of her influence on a New York bankruptcy judge.

Senators hold no sway over sitting US Bankruptcy Court judges.

And since AA isn't in a hurry to file for Ch 11 anyway . . . B)

"Senators hold no sway over sitting US Bankruptcy Court judges"

Get real

Judges are politicians, and, as such, aspire to appointment to a higher position. A US senator could indeed influence a judge.

I hope your information is correct about the chapter 11.
