Amr Reports Net Loss Of $95 Million Excluding Special Items

Damn Stright Skippy!

Delta LOSS = $2.16 BILLION

Northwest LOSS = $1.7 BILLION

All I have to say is this.. If something isn't done about gas prices EVERY Airline w/be in serious trouble. Yes, that includes JetBlue & Southwest (the hedging contracts will end at some point)..

And what did Delta and NWA "lose" in 2002, when AA claimed a $3.5 billion loss?

.

Yes, I know the history of the name American Airways.

Then you would also know how corrupt this industry is and that inflating, or even causing massive losses in order to gain huge concessions from workers is not as outlandish as some make it sound. All these carriers got hit with the same recession, the same 9-11, the same Iraq invasion, the same surge in fuel costs yet their financial difficulties are sread out so it looks like only one or two are on the brink of liquidation at any given time. Obviously if they all were on the brink workers would realize that there is no way the government would allow them all to cease operations and that the govt would have to come up with a plan to save the system but by going one or two at a time they isolate each companies workforce and prevent any chance of a unified labor front.
