Another Fine Scab Job !

My point here is that it was done with out a union. No union dues necessary. These were men that acted on principle and principle alone. They didn't have to pay a union that steps way out of bounds when handling a situation like this. I agree that there is a place for unions but not for the unions of today that have become corporate giants that rob its members and the companies. Unions stick their noses to deep into companies operations.

I hooked up ground power and air to an aircraft again yesterday. We had called for the service and after an hour and the cleaning crews showed up I hooked it up myself. This guy comes out of know where (a different guy from last time) demanding to know what I was doing and told me to stop. I told him I was hooking this aircraft up and that I wasn't going to stop and if he didn't like it he could go take it up with my supervisor. He wanted to punch me so bad, I was just waiting for it. He stormed off, I haven't heard that anything came of it. I don't know what union those guys belong to but it will be next on the hit list.

The general motors type unions are dinosaurs and pretty much over we can all agree but were talking about the degradation of a proffession not the inadequacies of unionism. You and the rest of your human scavenger personality types are aiding and abetting the degredation of a proffession as well as the safety of the flying public!

I have yet to see an aircraft cleared for maintenance that was not ready to fly. The first night of the strike we grounded 4 aircraft because the engines were serviced with skydrol. You clowns made a big joke of it but also forgot to mention that the union AMT's put it in the servicing units. It was only discovered by accident when a mechanic had some drip down his arm and it began to burn. So much for safety being on the minds of the AMT's.

I for see a new dawn for the aviation industry on the horizon and it is not going to be the sweatshops that you guys continue to preach about.

Every get the feeling some posters are just making it up as they go along?

PLAY THE ODDS,

Your ignorance of dealing with the devil (NWA) is LEGENDARY  !!!

As soon as NWA gets it way in court, even you SCABS will not be immune to the screwing that is coming down the line. After all, what goes around comes around  !!!!!

  Now won't that be nice

I like how you frased that. (We went individually to our supervisor). The key word here is (WE). It doesnt matter if you and the other individuals as a group pay dues to a common organization or if its as group of like minded individuals working to meet the same end result, its a form of unionism. Your saying you stood up for a fellow amt or even another man regardless of classification because of an injustice is honorable,,,,,,, but where does this put you other than on the top honors list for the hypocrate of the year award?????????
[post="305077"][/post]

It seems that it was done by choice and done because they believed in the individual. It was not done because the union had to defend people who we know should not be working. The workers chose to speak up. If I were a manager, that would carry substantially more weight than a union rep coming to me and saying that "employee X was good and should not have been fired

   PTO you did'nt by any chance grow up on a cattle ranch did ya?....cause you sure do shovel alot of bullshit!

Sorry local12 wrong again. Why don't you do me one favor though? I understand that there were 450 mechanics here at DTW, why do I only see 0 to 12 strikers at any given time? I would like for you to set it up so that there would be 100 strikers at the DTW parking garage. Please make sure that they have bullhorns so that we can hear them. Lets set this up for 12 pm to 12 am. On any Monday, Tuesday Wednesday or Thursday. Let me see that you have more involvement in this strike than coming to this board and acting brazen for these AA punks. That is only asking to see less than 25% of the AMFA force here.

Instead of scabbing, many of them are working other jobs I'm sure. The final truth and the whole fact of the matter is very few AMFA mechanics have crossed the picket line. The ones that have are ex-iam cowards that have never stood upright like men. Why is NWA management sending letters and calling the strikers to come back to work. The scab "dream team" not so dreamy?

I'll tell you what PTO. I will help you with your protest if you do a favor for me.
No school buse rides or Vance goons during the DTW garage protest. Strikers and scabs only.

Afterwards, we go over to AMFA Local 5 stike headquarters and you intoduce yourself as a proud union-hating scab. Tell the strikers they are all cowards and your a better A/C mechanic than any one of them. I'll fly in to help you grow some balls or if you need any "assistance" finding your way over. Again, no free ride on your school bus or Vance goons in this. Deal?

Guess you did not see the pictures of strikers at the scabs houses.

Why would he need to grow anything to express publicly his opinion. I hope you are not implying he would be at risk. Is this another subltle 'threat'?

Subtle threat? Nope. Just wanted to see if he would stand behind his scab convictions and call the strikers and strike backers "punks" without company paid Vance security goons or a scab bus babysitting him. PTO states he cannot hear the DTW strikers call him "scab" without a bullhorn at the airport. I wanted to fulfill his wishes of 100 strikers to greet him and my wish at the same time....to see if he's got the balls to run his big scab mouth to those he is hurting.

Ok Air Guy?

Another AA management bootlicker here to stir up more trouble.

A few of the AMFA guys that crossed this past week thought that they could not come back. It apperas tha AMFA has been telling them that they were "locked out from the company". I am sure that the calls and letters are to counter AMFA's propaganda.

Believe me I do wish I could dump the bus. I lose three hours a day because of that stupid bus. That is a policy that is out of my hands.

You are putting words in my posts now Hackman. However that would be a really interesting meeting don't you think? Maybe I could be nominated for Dell's replacement while I am there. Vance goons are another silly policy that is out of my control. If I were you I wouldn't be so worried about them. They are....Never mind.
I did go to the AMFA 5 website and made a few posts, for some reason none never made it. I do apologize for not being able to accept your endearing offer.

You can however still put on a 100 man picket line, just don't do it for me. Do it for the thousands of passengers that you feel might be hurt flying Northwest Airlines.

First off all, I have the right to express my opinions in this board the same way you do without you calling me names. If I have crossed the AA fence to post here is because other AA posters have already done so, taking sides in another airline's dispute. Without answering to your personal attack I can tell you that you and your buddies have been stiring up trouble here long before I did.
