Thoughts?

My own USD 0.02 worth, is that if these guys were planning on something -- and I don't they were -- wouldn't they try to blend in a little bit better and not dress in "Muslim garb" (whatever that is).

Its clear that nobody knows the full account of both sides as of yet. And your Gawker article is obviously biased towards the two Imams. Its the pilots call for whatever reasons and political correctness can go eff themselves. Its also not the first, nor the last time muslim passengers create a incident from whole cloth with the intent to get a reaction such as this and scream racism. Its the standard litigation warfare and a public relations blitz ever since after 9/11.

Gawker is not an article--it's a blogger's opinion. I don't think the full story has been explained yet.

The 2006 incident was aboard a US flight. The good imams had the same seats as the 9/11 boys. One very thin imam requested a seat belt extention. They did things that made all the passengers and crew uneasy.

So don't let them kid you, there was obviously a reason why the pilot did what he/she did. The good imams wanted to draw the attention to their conference, by making THEMSELVES the victims.

Typical of the good people that try to hide the obvious!

I guess they could not wear a pair of KHAKI pants and a polo shirt to sort of blend in. They had to wear their WHATEVER. I get so annoyed by individuals who come to the US that DONT speak English, bring all kinds of attention to them. One would think after all that has happened in the past since 9/11 individuals would try to move about the country blending IN.

Psychological warfare. The 9/11 terrorists wore western clothing.
These good imams are just reinforcing terrorism.
