Arbitration

The best part of the document is the quote from US Airways on page 18 item 79 that states:

"If the IAM is permitted to continue to prosecute the grievance, and is awarded the wage increases sought tin the grievance, US Airways and other stakeholders in these Bankruptcy proceedings will be severely harmed."

What a joke..........

People if you ever thought your loyalty meant something to this company, you really need to read the whole court filing and comments made by management.

They continually will do whatever it takes to keep you beat down while they continue to award themselves with large bonuses and stock options........

Ask yourself this: Since our contracts were abrogated and the complete reversal of company fortunes how have you as an individual benefited? You continue to work under an agreement shoved down your throat to supposedly help the company survive, and now that the tables have turned they do not want to share one nickel with your for that success....

Just heard from a member of the negotiating committee that the arbitration case has now been postponed ............

So gee now the company will mire this in red tape and continue....

Wonder how they feel now that the shoes on the other foot. It looks like they may lose this and actually have to give the workers what they deserve...........

sounds like Parker is desperate and has no faith in winning this through the normal channels. I don't see how they can go back to a case that was with the old company. it has nothing to do with the new LCC.

Does this have anything to do with the court ?
Apparently the arbitrator told the union he would not hear the case with only 1 side present.

The company must have contacted the arbitrator and advised him of their impending BK court filing and that they would not be at the Arbitration........

US Management is nothing but a bunch crooks.....

I really wish I hadn't read this. Just speechless at this time.

It's not just this company that is CROOKED,

It's also our so called judicial system.

How is it even POSSIBLE that this company can file an injunction to a bankruptcy judge, when they are NOT in bankruptcy ?

After reading the companies LAME injunction, I see they left out the part where they agreed to arbitration..

I know that in PHX it has been by the book for a while it has been noticed by the uppers they even came out to try and settle it down by saying how great things are going. they even made Frank come with them and you could tell he wasn't into it. because of this last company action I hope it will get every one involved in all stations east and west this is the only thing the company will understand is when it cost them. this also needs to get to the press.

BY THE BOOK!!!!!

Modern day Capitalism is as twisted as it's polar opposite - the failed Communist ideology. Today's corporations care not about sustaining families, nor society. They have morphed into some self-obsessed monster intent on getting every last penny from their employees as well as their host cultures and governments. It's in the corporate DNA to ravage the working man & woman.

Traditionally, the Republican Party has been beholden to corporate interests and yet, to my amazement, some working class men & women vote Republican. And, even worse, some working class folks are anti-union. Unions can be problematic, but without them the working class would not have a voice and could not negotiate with these corporations. Also, by voting Republican, working class men & women are allowing our politicians to stack the Judiciary Branch with pro-business judges.

OK- I'll get off my soap box now.

If the arbitration is postponed, I'm afraid it will really start to piss people off!! We seem to be at an standstill with regards to the transition agreement, with both sides waiting for the outcome of the arbitration hearing. So much for a big happy family!!! Just think how big of a mess we would be in had the Delta buyout occured!!!!

Just how long are we supposed to wait it out?

Some????????? Obviously more than some!

Alcohol is never the answer. OK, maybe just this once.....

It used to be that companies were corporate citizens, a part of the community, state, and the country. From the janitors to the owners to the customers we shared a common bond. That bond is now a memory. The people that own (not common stockholders) and control corporations in this country are from here and around the world but their interests are purely an unjustifiable level of greed.

I used to think those anti-globalists were nuts 10-12 years ago. Millions of illegal immigrants in, millions of good jobs gone, the rule of law ignored from the top to the bottom, our way of life destroyed from the inside out......maybe they were onto something.

Anyway, sorry to rant, but nothing any company does anymore really suprises me.
