Yesterday morning during a speech at the Family Research Council in Washington, Michele Bachmann bashed the unemployed in perhaps the most heartless way possible. After vowing to weaken social safety net programs such as Social Security, Medicare, food stamps, and unemployment benefits, Bachmann said that if you are currently not working, you should not be eating.

“Our nation needs to stop doing for people what they can and should do for themselves. Self reliance means, if anyone will not work, neither should he eat.”

2 Thessalonians 3:10

New International Version (NIV)
[sup]10 [/sup]For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.”

You mock Bachmann for stealing your own parties slogans?

According to Lenin, “He who does not work shall not eat” is a necessary principle under socialism, the preliminary phase of the evolution towards communist society. The phrase appears in his 1917 work, The State and Revolution. Through this slogan Lenin explains that in socialist states only productive individuals could be allowed access to the articles of consumption.

The socialist principle, "He who does not work shall not eat", is already realized; the other socialist principle, "An equal amount of products for an equal amount of labor", is also already realized. But this is not yet communism, and it does not yet abolish "bourgeois law", which gives unequal individuals, in return for unequal (really unequal) amounts of labor, equal amounts of products. This is a “defect”, says Marx, but it is unavoidable in the first phase of communism; for if we are not to indulge in utopianism, we must not think that having overthrown capitalism people will at once learn to work for society without any rules of law. (Chapter 5, Section 3, “The First Phase of Communist Society&rdquo😉

In accordance with Lenin’s understanding of the socialist state, article twelve of the 1936 Soviet Constitution states:

In the USSR work is a duty and a matter of honor for every able-bodied citizen, in accordance with the principle: “He who does not work, neither shall he eat.”

She is right as far as she goes, which is why a great many people have trouble with Conservative Christians. They take a piece from the Bible to use it for a political agenda. Often ignoring most of what remains. The foundation of this nation is Judeo-Christian in nature and values. We as a society ARE our brothers keeper. Where the debate arise is who and how should the cost of being our brothers keeper be borne?

When Glenn Beck says that you are too nuts for him, its time to the a step back and contemplate your POV.

She may be nuts, but she's way hotter than Sarah Palin

Feeding people that can feed themselves is a disservice to the very people you claim to be helping. Temporary transitional assistance most Americans would be fine with. Generational permanent welfare most is not.

A little economic fact, when you subsidize something you get more of it. Poverty programs create more poor people and of course the ruling class is happy with that.

Time for a station break and an advertisement for Viagra.

Why do facts based upon sound economic theory confuse you and make you chase your tail? Sadly, there is no Libtard talking point that can refute the truth.

I just point.

Won't see a patriotic dog like that selling out his country and taking aid from Communis!
