Hi, I just got a job as a baggage handler and im wondering if anyone has experience with this job. Does it require a lot of heavy lifting . im 18

Lots and lots of heavy lifting, in godawful weather and on every holiday as well.Good part time job while you're going to school though.

The risk is that you might choose to stay for a, well, career and then put up with all the "baggage" that is talked about so much on this forum.

Other than the pass benefits, which aren't necessarily so great depending on where you work (number of flights), your airline's policies and costs for travel benefits, and the amount of time or money you will have to travel, there aren't a whole lot of compelling reasons to work for an airline over other companies.

its actually not that bad been doing ramp for 6+ years best thing about it is bags don't talk just my opinion though
