Phillys a mess again, planes with no bags, planes with the wrong bags, and planes half loaded with bags.....

Bruce better get down and beat some more money out of them. What do you expect for a low paying jobs...

Too bad we are not closer to mexico or Bruce would be pullings strings in washington for the guest worker program.

It's express this time. A lot of employees have jumped to Mainline. No one to work the express flights. Bags everywhere!!

Didn't you have a minor heart attack recently? You might want to lay off them things!

The belt should be up and running again by today, or so I hear. There were lots of people staying overnight last night to clean up and sort out the mess.

Interesting comment. I'm involved with a construction project at a smaller non-hub airport and the huge majority of all the laborers working for the prime contractor and subs are Mexican. An interersting observation is THEY WORK rain or shine. I was taking with the on-site Project Manager about my observation and he mentioned contractor can not find unskilled caucasian and either African American laborers who are willing to work for the wages being paid.

Exactly . . . so that contractor will exploit those who will take anything they are handed. A exploiter's dream. Illegal immigration by Mexicans is very discriminatory because they can just walk across the border and willfully violate our laws while other even poorer, more desperate groups from Africa, the Carribean and Asia, can't physically get here with the ease that the illegal alien Mexican's can.

The President of Mexico Vicente Fox doesn't have the slightest clue how to fix his grossly overpopulated country, except to export his excess of humanity to the north and drive down wages for the American citizen unskilled wage earners. The #1 source of revenue of the Mexican economy is money sent back to Mexico from the US, much of it by Mexican nationals willfullly and flagrantly violating our country's laws and driving down wages for American citizens. The sad part is that the wealthy American business elite, many politicians, and Mr. Bush are all too happy to turn a blind eye and profit from it.

I had 3 flights out of PHL yesterday (express). All 3 were full (50 people) and all 3 had NO bags. We ended up being two and a half hrs late by the end of the day because we had to wait an average of one hr for bags (and I'm talking like 1/3 of the bags we were supposed to have). Both times we came into PHL we had to wait an average of 30 minutes to get a gate. There was only ONE guy working catering for 36 gates. One lav guy. Ect Ect. Total joke.

I see nothing has changed today as am waiting for my late flight as I type this. It is late due to "Ground handling" in PHL. What a shock. -Cape

This type of operations appears to be perfectly acceptable to the management of US. This was predicted years ago when express work was taken away from mainline employees. If it was'nt acceptable it would have been turned over to mainline employees years ago, when the statistics proved express a failure. But wait not only is management ok with express, they have taken extreme steps to degrade mainline jobs to express pay, thereby ensuring similar problems in the future!!!!!

you wouldnt expect mgmt to take responsiblity for these kinds of failures of phlly now would you??? of course mgmt knows these problems exist but they have no clue as to how to fix it. Bruce you need to FIRE AL CRELLIN FIRST AND FOREMOST and HIS STAFF

OK I hear you, but now a question..... Given the situation USAirways is in..... How do we convince a high quality replacement to accept the job?

U is going to outsource 21 stations by June. Among those employees, I'm sure you could find some who equal or exceed the current occupant's qualifications. No kidding.
