You have no gonads therefore you jump on anyone who does by jumping on them out of envy.
I happen to think that the best thing that could possible happen is if U was shut down. That way employees would be free from a dysfunction corporation that produces nothing but sorrows for them and their families. Not everyone can retire or just quit so don't even open your flap jaw boi.

PITbull gives plenty of options. You just need to read the posts to understand them. Do you endorse the executives fully funding their pensions before entering bankruptcy yet leaving the worker's pensions going to the government?

Right...who gives a damn at this point.
It is the cowards that are not willing to stand up for themselves against this mismanaged devious company. The cowards are the "yes, may I have another (pay and benefit cut) PLEASE" employees. They are afraid to leave the comfort zone and go out into the world and start anew.
The employees that aren't afraid to stand up to corporate greed and the unjust "raping" of the employees and underhanded dealings are the brave ones. They are not afraid of the "big boys" and not afraid to let this dump disintegrate. They are not afraid of losing their precious "job" with US and having to find another in the "big bad world" and move on with their lives.

For me it is simply about making the best choice from the list of available choices...not some fantasy list that some advocate around here.
What you are looking at is keeping a job here (maybe) at your seniority etc., and doing it at low-cost airline pay & benefits; or starting over at another airline or in another line of work.
It is a no-brainer for myself and many others as to what the best choice is. Am I afraid? NOT!
I am also not afraid to debate with you, or anyone about this subject. Folks that think somehow the choices will majicaly change are living in a fantasy world.
This trend is market, economy, and governmentally driven, we at US Airways cannot stop it, only participate, or watch from the sidelines should our demise come to pass.
So, if opportunities await someone here by going elsewhere by all means go, I would. I have simply not yet found anything close to compare to my 20 pilot job here at US Airways, even after the tremendous pay & retirement cuts, along with contractual changes...that is a fact.
For many here that is true, I am simply not afraid to admit this, nor am I embarassed, weak, and so on.

Yet in the next sentence it is, "not everyone can retire or just guit." So how is it that shutting it down is better then just leaving? The end result is the same. You are an employee with no job and no income. Yes, you will get 26 weeks of unemployement, but what happens after that?
Wouldn't you still make more with the concessions then you would on unemployement, and you would have medical and dental coverage while you are looking for something else.
I am not belittling the sacrifices being asked of each union group. I realize that the concessions are horrible, but just how do you fingure that anyone would be better off if the place just closed down, versus surviving and each employee decide if they want to move on or not?
