Hello UA!

Any news coming out of yesterday's board meeting in DEN? Lots of good news in the last two weeks - keep it coming!

Off to Austin and San Antonio next month for vacation. Will be UAX to Austing and mainline back from San Antonio. Looking forward to flying on my first RJ. Oh and I even paid close to full fare and it's a vacation! 😉

Take care,
UC

You bet. By the way...I got TMobile wifi and recently used it at Red Carpet. It was awesome!

Here's an interesting article. At first glance maybe not big news but I looked again because John Tague was quoted. Also could be part of the LCC strategy. I think we're going to be stunned at what a powerful airline will be.

P.S. Thank goodness that the VP at NCL doesn't have a D as part of his last name! B)

UAL, NCL enter partnership

The mainland airline with the most flights to Hawaii has formed an alliance with the cruise line that does the most business in the islands.

United Airlines and Norwegian Cruise Line announced Thursday they have entered into a long-term partnership for air travel to and from Hawaii from United's hubs in Denver, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

NCL Senior VP Andy Stuart and UAL Executive VP John Tague signed the guaranteed flying contract in Denver.

"This partnership introduces more leisure travelers to United," Tague said, "and allows us to better gauge air travel demand year-round."

United will set aside blocks of seats for cruise bound passengers who will journey on NCL's four Hawaii-based ships. When the cruise line sells an air, cruise and stay package, United will be the primary carrier.

"This enhanced partnership is a natural fit," Stuart said. "United's strong route network and extensive service to Hawaii ideally compliments NCL's significant expansion in the state of Hawaii."
