I like CO's strategy to the UK. Although people in the US often view LHR and London as the be all and end-all, there is a lot of industry and population in the regions. A lot of high tech industry in the UK is located in the Southwest (Bristol is the western end of the "M4 corridor"). There's a lot of automotive industry nearby in Swindon, aerospace in Bristol, Gloucester and Cheltenham, and heavier industries (coal, steel) across the Severn in Wales.

I'm sure the people who hate flying 757s will complain, but at the UK end, many people will view this as liberation from a 2-4hr drive down the M4 to get to LHR or a hit or miss drive up the M5/M6 to BHX. All notoriously clogged highways.

As I say, I like the move
