WATCH THE CREW NEWS AND SEE DOUG PARKER SAY PITTSBURGH TO BE DOWNSIZED IN MARCH AGAIN.

TIME TO START CONSIDERING YOUR OPTIONS............

It has not been a hub in a few years, it is a focus city.

I hate it for the PIT diehard flight attendants, but seriously, the slow death has to stop. Just kill it already. The writing is on the wall -- this will not be a base for much longer. The best they can hope for is the option of PIT as a satellite base with a new AFA contract.

Oh dear. U will pull out more RJs... pretty much all that's left anyway.

Sky high states: It is...was a vocal base. They better get very VOCAL on the satellite issue. It's hard to commute to PHL, LGA, DCA on RJ's. AFA, are you listening?

My opinion...Satelitte PIT, LGA, DCA, and BOS. We only need 2 real bases. The ONLY reason for thoses bases is to give someone under 10 years a way to hold a block.

Great idea. Anyone knoe if this is being discussed? I am not exactly sure how this works, but it would seem cost effective. I seem to remember hearing that AA has had success with satellite bases (ATL/MSP/SAN???) and is planning more. It just makes sense.

Maybe 3 bases -- CLT, PHL, and PHX. Satellites for BOS, LGA, DCA, PIT, FLL (!), LAS, LAX

Sorry..I didn't mean to leave out our west brothers and sisters. I was speaking of the east bases. Yes, LAS and LAX would be great added satelitte bases.
