The common practice is buy on the dip. Well the stock looks like it will shortly be under $3 a share. I know it can go to zero (been there, done that) but what does everyone else think. Where is the bottom?

Hey Bud .. we've been tempted by that $3 price in the past! Last time, that $3 ended up being worth $0. From what I am seeing now, I'll bet history will repeat itself.

I hope I'm wrong .....

'Ya know, with this stock price I cannot help but to think back about that situation when D.P. sold a bunch of stock and everyone was angry! I forget the #'s, but it was around $42/sh and he made $9 mil. or so. I recall him arrogantly saying " it was only 10% of my holdings, what's the big deal", or something of that order. Geezz, I wonder if he still has that other 90% ! Talk about a "paper" loss! Anybody recall how many shares he sold? Figure out what he had left, and at $2.50/sh, what that loss might be.

I just bought a few at $2.51/share... figured I'd support the rebound. Low so far today was like $2.43 from what I've seen in the last few minutes.

From Parker's letter to employees today:

<SNIP>As part of my commitment to achieve this goal, as well as reaffirming my belief in our company, I’ve made the decision to invest an amount equal to my 2008 salary into US Airways by buying stock in the open market at the next trading opportunity for insiders.
