Does anyone know?
Can dogs smell water?

I do not know if pure water has a sent but I would imagine that dogs can smell whats in the water whether it be from a river, lake, pond or tap. You have chlorine in tap water and various decomposing things in ponds, lakes and streams.
According to a brief search I did, the answer is a resounding 'don't know'.
