CAREMARK SUX!

If you are posting here then you know how to use the internet. While it is helpful for others to know of the pitfalls that await with Meds and Healthcare in general it is even more helpfull to take action.

Nearly EVERY if not every state has a wbsite and buried in those websites are the States Attorney General Website with a Consumer Fraud page from which a citizen (That's you & me 😀 ) can file a complaint. It is IMO far better than the Better Business Bureau as if an investigation occurs it has legal teeth and the full weight of the State behind it.

Also many states have web sites devoted to medical and other health care related issues. YOU are Caremarks Customer. Start acting like one! If you get a rough way to go take them to task with ALL of the tools at your disposal. Make them deliver what they promise. Demand compensation for your trouble, you may or may not get it. But whatever you do DON'T PLAY VICTIM!!!!
Piney,
Thanks for the tip...but I am a step ahead of you...I have contacted the state and BBB and a Sr. Director with US think I am getting some where now...I don't play the victim...trust me...like you when you get crappy service or lip service for a product you pay for you make sure as many consumers know about it...I still tell people about a crappy experence I had with wallmart back in 1988...they gave me 500.00 to go away I have never set foot in another wallmart but I share my story with all...US and the union have been very helpful in getting this issue fixed...not one person at CAREMARK has owned my problem...I have spent 40+ hrs on the phone and have taken good notes with times and people I have spoken to...CAREMARK has promsed me a product for my money then they lie and pass the buck to another CAREMARK employee...3 weeks now without the meds...my next step is legal action....no victim here just a P offed consumer that comes into contact with a lot of other consumers...so spread the word if it cost to much CAREMARK could CARELESS!!!

I just had a small run in with them. I had a small procedure done a little while back and all of a sudden Caremark calls to ask about a prscription of something that I didnt even know what it was for. They were gonna send me something I did not ask for nor did the doctor. They said "well its all paid for" "are you sure you do not want it?" "its comepletely covered by insurance %100"...I said" I dont know what it is for nor do I have anything wrong?" ...Those people are crazy!!!
I am still waiting on a response from CAREMARK or CARELESS just paid over 1500.00 for the meds...if it cost CAREMARK they could CARELESS...

FYI......I know there are a lot of people that won't shop at Wal Mart but for those who do here's some info about their new generic RX program and insurance. I know a lot of people, including myself, that could/will save $$ every month on generic RX's.

I know that Caremark tells you it's mandatory to use them and the mail service for maintenance medication but.......a rep at Caremark told me that if we don't use them, we will drive up the cost of everyone's co-pays. Benefits says it's not true since the contract is in place for the entire year.

When HP first swithch over from PCS, Caremark sent me a letter saying that I had been prescribed Alegra-D through the PCS plan, but it was not their formulary.

Again, not to be nitpicky...there was no "switch". PCS was bought by Caremark.

The "CAREMARK's" in this country, will be $hitting in their pants, come November 7th.

NH/BB's

I called my bank and reported fraudulent charges. Caremark got things sorted out real quick. They haven't pulled that nonsense since. I wonder how often they do this thinking that x amount of people never check their balance and statements. But what the heck, they save the company money on health care.

I found these erroneous charges by looking at every entry on my online bank statement. If I don't recognize it, I start looking into these things.

Once in Las Vegas, I ordered a hot dog on my debit card at New York New York. As I was eating the hot dog, I reached in my pocket to look at the charge as my friends visiting from Pittsburgh asked me how much I paid. Seems the young lady at the register gave herself a $40 tip! Yeah. Well I went back to the counter and I showed her a real-life in-your-face and bein' real bustin'-it-down-old-school barbeetantrum. I was like Samuel Jackson's character in Pulp Fiction when he's quoting Ezekiel 25:17. :groovy: The supervisor came to correct things while the young lady's coworkers trembled. They must have been in on it. Who in Las Vegas looks at receipts? Just me. I got home and checked on the charges on my bank statement. There was the $47 hot dog. Called the bank and straightened it out.

Barbee, a $47.00 hot dog, that's about what it costs when you go to a major sporting event. If you want chili with that dog it's $55.00!!!

also WEGMANS a GREAT! company is doing the same for maint drugs...they have great customer service and very nice stores... love the place...I will have to say after a long week and 1/2 CAREMARK came thru...It was a pain but at least the issue is fixed (cross fingers)

I dont deal with their mail drug to my home crap..mainly because I dont have the patience to deal with those forms..
I have ignored that offer . I like punching them buttons on my telephone every 30 days to refill my meds...
In Arizona and Nevada, the mail order system is a really bad idea on some drugs. The drugs that are not supposed to be exposed to the heat will sit in the mailbox and bake at 120f while your out of town.
