The former chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority (CASA), Dick Smith, has raised concerns about the rising number of aircraft fatalities involving professional pilots in Australia.
I do wish Dick Smith well. He has been trying for years now to get the Australian aviation system to closely resemble the US aviation system (NAS). The funny thing is, even though Australia has been slow in implementing any change they received the contract to man US systems in Hawaii.
