Although FLICA does not support iPhone, I found a way to access CATCREW with my iPhone using VNC, (that is Virtual Network Computing). This puts your PC's desktop on your iPhone, enabling you to access CATCREW as if you were sitting in front of your PC or laptop.

-Download the free VNC app Mocha Lite to your iPhone.

-Download Real VNC from realvnc.com (read all disclaimers, Vista compatible version requires version 4.5 which is $30 after a free trial period, XP and other users can use a free version that may not be as secure)

Connecting via WiFi is pretty fast, 3G connection is slow but acceptable in a pinch (think dial-up).
A definite option for those wanting to laptopless.

I'm sure I have "discovered" something you all have known about for years, but if there is a better solution to access CATCREW from iPhone I would love to know it before I send in my $30.

Hope this helps.

Will that work with a Crackberry? It would be so nice to not have to sit at home and stalk screen 18 and 44 all the time.

A few FAs swear they use their Iphone for etb trips right out of the box. I have q touch pro 2 and I can see what trips I have approved or pending, but not available trips. /cry

CATCREW on a phone, no clue but it would be nice!

Using this software, do you have to have your computer on at home??? Or how's it work. Very interested too...

FlightChic,
I don't know about blackberry. When I Googled "catrew on Blackberry", I saw thread on a Blackberry forum that did'nt provde an answer. I didn't pursue it very far.
I would assume if you can access the internet from your device, you should be able to make it work.
The issue would be putting a VNC viewer on your Blackberry. Google "vnc viewer on Blackberry", you'll see alot of results and info from user forums. Looks like there are free, as well as paid programs availble.
Make sure whatever you choose it is compatible with the operating system, ie Windows XP, Vista, on which your Catcrew software is located. Download a vnc server program onto your Catcrew computer. That program should configure your PC to allow it to act as a server for your portable device.

It drove me crazy trying to get this working as I'm not real computer savvy, but five years of Sudoku finally paid off!

Again, Google it and read the forums, many smart folks out there with alot of good info.

Zarah,
I'm not a user of the ETB. If the ETB is accessed through a normal website like The Hub, Wings, or FLICA, then, yes, one could use the iPhone right of the box to go to such websites. Catcrew is accessed by the FlightCrew Connector software provided by FLICA and that software won't run on an iPhone.
My jerry-rigged solution is to access my pc remotely with my iPhone. Not perfect but better than nothing and the five pound laptop stays at home. The laptop misses going through the x-ray machine two or three times a week though.

Crzi,

The home pc does need to be on. I leave mine on but allow it to go into standby or sleep mode when not in use. When I access it remotely it's the same as moving the mouse, it wakes the machine up.
