Fuel prices are predicted to increase even higher this year and consumer debt and inflation are a concern. At some point we'll see further decline in demand. The US/AWA pilots are still battling for seniority and any merger attempt between any of the legacy carriers will certainly see the same. At what point do the airline execs goto congress for help? If the airline execs can't continue their business of running the airline then at some point I believe they are going to look for relief from changes in the RLA.
