Yeah how about that. You have passengers that are PO'd and with a camera showing the world your cockpit door is open. NICE! ! C'mon in everybody. The captain hanging out in the cabin with all those folks standing around like it's a cocktail party. I wonder if that captain will get in trouble? Hmmmm

I would have been real interested to see USA320Pilot dealing with that. Of course the reality is that he would never have opened the door, and it probably would have stayed shut until every passenger had deplaned and left the gate area.

Id of been fired Id toss him out on the ramp in the rain, annoying scum bagg trouble maker.Cant except mother nature take a hike in the lightning, what a dumb A$$.

Geezus, somebody with a video camera and a YouTube account thinks that makes him an investigative journalist.

I know plenty of right-seaters that would’ve slammed the door in this clown’s face.

I agree.....someone should have.

I noticed that this obnoxious individual's company name is getting lots of exposure from this. So what was his real reason for harassing and filming the Captain.....his genuine concern for the "health" of his fellow passengers?

Another self-involved pax using the airlines for gain...hope his next flight encounters moderate to severe and someone films him yodeling into his "Advertise Here" sack.

The airlines couldn't win with this guy....I guess he wanted to talk to the CEO of Delta if he didn't get off the plane, but would sue the pants off them if he was struck by lightning on the ramp after they let him off....although if I were the captain, I'd insist that he keep his "POV" camera running so that in the event he WAS struck by lightning, he could have one helluva cool youtube video.

Someone needed to throw that #### a beating....Wish I could have been there.

who did the jerk work for i didnt hear it.
The jerk "worked for" the company that sells the "POV" camera...like the one he was using in his confrontation. Of course he was more concerned about the welfare of the passengers than he was about putting links to his companies website out on youtube so that you too can film your own confrontations. In retrospect, the captain should have returned to the cockpit and notified the FAA and had the guy picked up for causing a disturbance on board the aircraft.

Sounds to me like he would have been happy to get off the plane and be back in the terminal. I know that is all I would have wanted.

The CNN clip seemed to make a good point. People who can make a decision perhaps do not because of risk to their career. It happened at American and it seems that AA is not alone in the ability not to be able to make a decision that is the best interest of the people.

How hard would it have been to get a bus and get the people back in the terminal?

Yes, but would you have been verbally abusive to the flight crew like he was? Let's face it, the flight crew was stuck on that airplane just like he was.

Anybody would have been happy to get back into the terminal. But because America is such a litigious society, if someone slipped on the tarmac while boarding the bus...guess who's getting sued for "negligence". Sometimes we have to live with what we created.
