Heard that CHI has just landed a job in India. 2 S79C+'s. Anyone heading there? Anyone been there??

Hi Torqued, I've heard the same rumour. This job was up for grabs for awhile. I also heard there is a Puma involved. I worked in India in the late 80's for CHC in Bombay. There is a large offshore oilfield in production there. I really enjoyed it but it is not for everyone. If there is one country in the world that can test your patience it is India. But when you get into the rythem of it and get used to the smell it is a great place. I would go back in a flash.

The company does have a few new 76C+ aircraft rolling off the assembly line and are sending them in that direction if all goes as planned.

Two of the 76C+'s are enroute from the east and due into YVR this week sometime.

The job is 2 SK76C+'s confirmed, in India. The crews were announced in the company rag.

CHC Africa also is putting a couple C+'s in Eq. Guinea. Angola as well eventually.
