A very incisive look at AA; interviews with Crandal and Carty, reports of revenue mgmt, operations control, F/A training. A very good report about the staggering complexity of a major airline. On right now - wish I had taped it.

Also, another AA item: from airliners.net, a dscussion of AA's culture. As with most "anutters" threads, an eclectic mix of insight and drivel:

I read the forum from airliners yesterday it was very interesting!
The video is very informative.

References to this CNBC show crop up every now and then. I think it would a much different documentary if it were made today. The labor relations have gone several steps backwards, fuel prices and operating costs have risen and the company has posted a lot of losses in the quarters since this show aired. I don't remember which route it was (JFK-LAX??) - but didn't it only turn a profit of a few hundred dollars? If that was true then, what is it in todays depressed economy?

Is this the video where Dennis Burchette claims we are going to "GIVE" the company productivity improvements, FILL their pockets with money, and then he is going to "REACH IN AND GET BACK" what we have earned?

Right Dennis, how'd that work out for us? I sure thought with 20 plus years in you would have learned you cannot "TRUST" the management.

I am still going backwards in my standard of living, and in exchange for your giving away performance improvements, the company has offered concessions.

You're a Genious Dennis. Why don't you go ahead and jump into management with buddies Kevin Hammack and Kevin Thompson?

And here we are today with Steve Luis as President who promised us change and we are still working together, still giving while they just hold us under concessions by refusing to negotiate with serious proposal offerings.

Gotta LUV the TWU

The show is out of date. IN-sourcing is over. AA Management no longer pretends to work this way, and the senior leadership from the 2006 time frame are gone. Now the contracts are long past due, and there is no progress. TWU Intl. is still PAID. - Pathetic! What a horrible and sad example of a codependency disorder.

The NMB is stalling, compAAny is stalling, and it appears AMR-MRO will be launched the day after M&E is downsized to a fraction of it's line and engineering operations.

How? Most likely a FA strike, then same-day bankruptcy filing followed at most hours later with a time stamped (long prepared) corporate charter filing in Delaware with AMR-MRO' birth announcement on aa.com.

What's YOUR game plan?
