Ahh, go do a bowl of catnip already......

I guess if you do not understand the point behind 'irregardless" pointing out that one can not "do" a bowl of catnip would be a waste of computer time. I am sure there are English teachers turnig over in their grave.

when Jesus spoke this parable it was meant for hypocrites such as you, "First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye".

You probably think you have one up on God too! 😉

Why on earth would I care about what a carpenter supposedly said 2,000 years ago and what does that have to do with 'irregardless" and "doing catnip"?

I'm agnostic. Could not care less about "having one up on god".

I just made a simple comment about the use of a word and you have to take it personally instead of as a learning experience. Knock your self out.

BTW, spelling/typo error is quite different from improper word usage.

Boy are you going to be suprised one day.... 😱

Really? thats not what they taught in basic english courses but of course you need not be corrected because your Omniscient.

I knew you were going to say that. 🙂

I had to look Orthography up. Neat word. I'll have to try and remember that.

On a serious note. I'm really not sure why you get your knickers in a twist so much. I was only pointing out that you used a word that technically does not exist. I did not know what Orthography meat. I looked it up. Not a big deal. I learned something. I am proud of that fact. I like the English language. It bugs me when people use double negatives "I ain't got no ...." or words such as ‘irregardless’.

I do not agree with your politics but as far as I can recall I have never insulted you or ridiculed you. Not sure why you have to resort to that. Garfield is only a handle and avatar. I do not understand what you hope to gain by telling me to go 'do some'.

Believe it or not, I pointed out the 'irregardless' thing as educational item, not a slam. Quite a few people use the word. I have heard it used on the news, I heard a member of congress use it.

For the longest time I used ‘your’ instead of ‘you are’ with out even realizing it till someone pointed it out to me. I am glad they did. I make a conscious effort to make sure I use the appropriate words for any given situation.

I have never claimed to be omniscient or better than anyone else. I state my opinion and try to back it up with facts or references.

Well 'Irrespective' 😛 of what your pet peeve is, I suggest you get a better command of the proper english languge usage, spelling, punctuation, etc.. if you choose to give lessons.

I usually refrain from such petty things, it tends to make one look foolish. My point being we all make mistakes and that was why I chose to quote that 'Carpenter' as you referred to. Say what you will Garfield but many of your post have a tone of someone who believes their sh!t don't stink and that is one of my 'Pet Peeves' 😉
