With a excutive tree coonsisting of proven winners such as Neil Cohen and Andy Roberts coupled with the remains of FLYi's board?! How could you say such a thing? (sarcasm mode off)
Looks like MDA airlines v2.0.....
Interesting that they'll be flying one CRJ on one routing for now.
Also, did anyone find it odd that the "NW Airlines Cargo" entity was used to become Compass?
Lastly, how ironic that a company that can't even figure out which way to point the logo on it's planes is calling itself "Compass."

They will fly one route in order to keep the certification active until the operation can be built up.
I kind of like the name. It's a clever play on the NWA logo, and not silly like the Ted thing.

Hard to be optimistic about things these days....To me it looks like (Usair's) history will be repeating itself here.Yeah, I know. I should have added "...." after the words "for now." Shouldn't suprise anyone that IAD-MSP will be the first route flown.

What's Compass going to be? I'll bet boring like all of NW's recent marketing schemes. Always stuffy, always stagnent since 1990's. Northwest is going NORTHWEST, I think this one is just going to hit SOUTH. Just history repeating itself over and over again.........

all of it is is a reincarnation of the mistakes that USAIR made over the last--oh say quarter century!!! no just kidding. but I think it is going to be mistakenly costly just like METROJET and DELTA EXPRESS.

S-jets, Compass, whatever you want to call it, is just a shell game. Kid yourself not. Recent history supports this.
Take a good, hard, long look at MidAtlantic Airways.
The employees who had good hearts and a love of aviation went for in the hopes and belief they were doing a good thing.
So much for that. Please don't fall into that trap. I can see no different outcome.

FEAR NOT Dear DEA,
We employees at Northoworst airlines are "Used and Abused".
Yes we have this love-hate relationship... Dougie and we...
We also know that....
This is the only airline that starts with "NO"
I somehow don't think alot of those people who love aviation is willing to work under this new scheme.
Still waiting for my money back from '93 concessions (OH not to mention S-T-O-C-K)

Rather than compare it to the in-house LCC's, wouldn't a better comparison be Comair or American Eagle? Isn't the plan for Compass to fly as a Northwest Airlink partner?
I actually kind of like the name. Thankfully they put a little more effort into this name as compared to whoever came up with GO!. They couldn't even come up with an original name. GO was the name used by BA for their LCC. Really creative there Mesa....NOT.

No... it didn't take too much brainwork. Just like UniTED's TED- The concept of "Compass" came from our Logo of "Northwest". Our little triangles on the tail points to "Northwest" and once upon the time... the logo was a "compass" with the pointer pointing NW.
Now since the name has been revealed we can make even more fun out of it.
Can you imagine...some pax getting mad...
and instead of saying "Don't you know? This is the only airline that starts with "NO"" ---we can now say "COMP, my ASS --- just like the name!"

that Compass is to me at least a reincarnation of MidAtlantic. It is a nowonder that the pilots gave mgmt a hard time after the beatings and rapings the MDA pilots got from the old USAIR regime. I just hope Compass doesnt go the southerly route that its sister partner Mid Atlantic (also known as Mid Titanic)went.

You are 100% correct my friend. 'Compass' is a photo copy of MidAtlantic...look at who is running it. The NWA-MEC leadership is crazy for allowing this to even be voted on with it's members.
I would advise all NWA pilots to 'VOTE NO' on the T/A.
