AP Article with reported Charges against CO

Looks like this issue has reared its ugly head again. Whatever the rights or wrongs of the case, the legal bills aren't likely to be cheap.

Typical of the French. Never want to help anyone, but there the first to blame everyone else. How about the airport authorities who are suppose to check for FOD on the runways. Are they going to charge these criminals for not doing their job? Reminds me of a story I heard........


They had this huge earthquake in Mexico and millions upon millions of people were killed. The Canadians sent humanitarian aid, the Brits sent food, the German's sent machinery, the French sent nothing (not their problem), and the United States, the biggest helper of all sent one million replacement Mexicans. 😛

dont forget the police leaving explosives in a bag then loose it as the bag went on an outbound flt of an airline!!!

This seems like it could set a very dangerous precedent. Can you imagine if the airlines would have to check the runway for debris after each departure or landing to ensure that it cannot be held liable if the next aircraft crashes? This has potential to create insanity.

I am all for ensuring the runway is safe... But to do so in between every operation would grind most busy airports to a hault.

Maybe everyone should stop flying to France. Let them take the boat if they want to come here.
