Concordes' Final Destinations

Had a quick chat with a Concorde pilot on the way to New York City the other day. They were just coming into N.American airspace with a full load of B.A. Concorde workers onboard to deliver one of the planes to the Intrepid aircraft carrier museum in NYC. Too bad there isn't anything to replace it.

Do they still 400Hz background noise on their comms? (not that it matters anymore  )

I was in London this summer and saw a Concorde at the Duxford museum-very interesting. For an aviation guy, London is a great place for museums.

On approach to Sea-Tac the other day, saw one at the Boeing museum. Will have to make a trip down there to look at her!

Was at the Farnborough (sp?) airshow many years ago..got to talk to one of the first pilots. He had written a book on it and signed it for me...now if I could only find it!

Hello and a happy new year to all.

Not been on the site in a while, since I decided to get out of the aviation business and go back to my previous life in Control systems (Still mixed feelings there)

Just thought you guys might like this concirde link. Lots of info and good photo's (even got a pic on there myself, B&W shot of her wing)

Hope you enjoy.

Swamp, There is a guy who wrote a book called "Corcordes and those I flew before" who lives near YVR. His last name is Duffey. He was one of the first group of pilots to fly the Conc.

On a completely separate note, a large ton of bricks to the Fuc!ers at British Airways management who decided to ground them, wouldn't let other companies (Virgin) have a try at it, and then gave them away to museums in a country (USA) that couldn't build their own. Ba$tards!
