Cool AA 757 Landing Video

Awwww,

What's the big deal...we all know those things land themselves anyway...

Give the Mech who maintains the autopilot the credit...

B) B) B) B) B) B) B) B)

(Spoken entirely facetiously....just taking advantage of a clear opportunity to blast a popular bit of B.S. out of the water..

And, give the mechs all the credit, and thanks, in the world, for what they do...I do every time I speak with one...

Peace...

As hairy as the landing looks I'm guessing that the pilots get a rush out of doing it. Nice change from landing on a 10000 foot runway at DFW with not so much as a mole hill around.

I'll second that. Not long ago found 6 out of 8 main gear tires still "ok" on wear, but not pretty. They were a "no-go" in our opinion for a dark and rainy landing at 9300' msl Quito Ecuador. (check out the airport pics at airliners.net) They could probably have done a few more endless runway landings at DFW, LAX or JFK.

The crew on duty that day changed all 6 in an effort worthy of NASCAR. Fast and done right
