I don't think the business casual moniker has made any huge change. The flag logo is a lot sharper than the red and blue of USAir. Although I do miss the feel good commercials that airlines used to put out. Southwest would always go for jokes. Thats ok, but something about those commercials make me proud that USAirways is finally making some headway. 🙂

Honestly I wishUS went back to the US Air(ways) begins with you jingle. During the 80's they were doing very well.

That commercial was a classic.

If you look very closely at the RETRO plane photo graphic. It does have the smile. That was the theme of PSA and I am sure it will have it.

That’s the second time I’ve seen that commercial. The first time was at recurrent or one of those dumb seminars at the Royce.

Are there ant Rusthead commercials posted somewhere? Like “US Air’s got a cure for the summertime blues!â€￾

Yep, 4 747-200's we got from KLM, they had a lot of age and a lot of cycles on them.

We got them because we were sure we would get SYD, but didn't, but we were sure we would get Narita, but we didn't.

So we flew them PHX and LAS to HNL, and for a while JFK-PHX and JFK-LAS, and then we got Nagoya! And the first gulf war started that week and the Japanese government told its citizens to avoid american run airlines. So we had flights from NGO-HNL with less pax than Flight Attendants.

Then we sold the route to NW, got rid of the 747's one by one, and wetleased ATA to run the flights with L1011's and NW with DC-10's for a while, and got out of the whole widebody stuff all together.

They are all beer cans now, Ashes, Patches, Christine the Hangar queen....

I'm sure those 747's are gone but NW DC-10's are still around. I was amazed when I saw one in EWR. I thought that World and Omni were the only ones flying the 10. But that 10 was really run down. NW most have the avarage oldest fleet in the industry.

I do too, but the ways...well, it would BE in the way.

BTWay 😛 , does anyone have the long 60 second commercial? Yes, there is a long version that was the original commercial with the full lyrics. Also, did any of you ever hear the complete orchestrated version of US Air Begins With You? Yes, there IS one and it would give you goose bumps to listen to it, Its makes transformation (which I like) sound cheesy.
