Yep, 4 747-200's we got from KLM, they had a lot of age and a lot of cycles on them.
We got them because we were sure we would get SYD, but didn't, but we were sure we would get Narita, but we didn't.
So we flew them PHX and LAS to HNL, and for a while JFK-PHX and JFK-LAS, and then we got Nagoya! And the first gulf war started that week and the Japanese government told its citizens to avoid american run airlines. So we had flights from NGO-HNL with less pax than Flight Attendants.
Then we sold the route to NW, got rid of the 747's one by one, and wetleased ATA to run the flights with L1011's and NW with DC-10's for a while, and got out of the whole widebody stuff all together.
They are all beer cans now, Ashes, Patches, Christine the Hangar queen....
