100' WILL YOU STAY ON TOPIC !!! 😀 😀

All I can say to that question is...I was there on Mt Stephens with a 206, and 2 of your fat radio techs when you were still in Diapers Boy ! 😀 😀 That one and the "K" division repeater at Wilson too ! (11,000). 😀

Next "off topic" question please <_<

A Eurocopter product is like the Calgary Flames, You can try to beat them, but you just can't!!!

GO FLAMES GO!

Hey, and I was at Wilson before that, still think is one of the nicest repeaters ever to land at,, around 11000 grand looking through the chin bubble at the BJ Highway at 5. Would take a sling load of batteries at Sask xing at full torque and set it down with 70 % yahoo do I like the wind.

It is one of the nicest sites in the Hills, and generally good clean upflowing air.

I remember the day Parks decided on building on Wilson, I flew a 9.1 with Parks that day (May 22, 1985, BHE ). They decided on Borgeau, Hector and Wilson for the rework of the entire Banff Park radio system.
I hopped crews to various peaks from the Spray through the eastern drainages Panther, RedDeer, Clearwater), then on to the far north (Arctomys and Alexandra Rivers. When the crews were in place on various peaks, we did the low flight all over the area..calling...."can you hear me now.." ??

Quasar had the Banff Park contract then, but it so happened, that both their 206's were AOG that day. Jerry Nells was so PI$$ed off that he called me in to fly them.

Shame about them Sharks, got burned bad, I'll probably be in Cowtown tomorrow if you want that free steak for lunch

I'll PM you my cell number

Ah, I thought you meant after we built the thing. So you are the guy who picked Hector? hmmmm, that place caused me many bad feelings and almost grey hairs, maybe you owe me beer too.

Should be around for lunch.

Well, back to the original topic...

Any news on what happened?

I took the liberty of copying the following post by 407D from the Pprune website:

I was told the aircraft reached a point over 490 Rpm, I'd expect that a B3 runs at 390 +/-, similar to a B2 ? So that equated to a 126% M/R speed.

An overspeed can happen to any aircraft.
If a FADEC or governor system goes bad, Zoom, up comes the M/R RPM.
The pilot controlled the overspeed, (or it went into an automatic shut-down situation, I'm not familiar with the B3 systems), he auto'd and all 3 on board are fine.

The aircraft can be repaired.

Well done !

Don't dwell too long on that statement. It was based on my initial info, and was also aimed at a previous poster over there that commented on this should only have happened to an EC120 ???

I've Heard a more factual account of this incident since, but, sorry, unable to repeat...........
