Crew member tests negative for alcohol after removal from American Airlines flight .

To recap from our limited knowledge of the incident, the flight was scheduled to take off Wednesday from D/FW Airport at 4:30 p.m. and land in Cancun at 7:05 p.m.

However, a flight attendant raised questions about whether the pilot had been drinking, we're told. The pilot told passengers over the public address system about the accusation, which he denied but said it would force his removal from the flight.

It's the FA's duty to report it.
The FA would have been a hero if the pilot had been under the influence.
Of course this may have been a lovers quarrel.
Don't know until more faq's come out.

Ok, it was the FA's duty to report it..
Tests came back negative.
What next? You have either been drinking enough to be illegal to fly or you haven't..
Now the pilot should bring a civil suit against the FA. How about a Rule 32?

If it were due to a "personal" vendetta, the the FA should be fired. Not only did it defame the pilot, what about the airline's image with the public?
