I see General Motors is in talks to buy Chrysler Corp. which would create the largest auto company in the world with a 40% share of the US market. But, we were worried the Justice Dept. would reject a US Airways/Delta combination on the grounds it would be anticompetitive? Does this seem a little disingenuous by the safe guards of competition?

Well that depends on what the definition of "disingenuous" is...

It would seem that them with the gold make the rules... and the history.

We weren't sposed to notice the inconsistancy.

It's early we still have not heard from the Chrysler unions.

Besides you would have to be born yesterday if you think they wil keep all the workers on both sides. In the case of the US auto industry they have huge inventory issues namely too many of the wrong type of cars.
