I am betting that DL is higher. I am surprised that Parker is so open to moving to the higher pay of the airlines for all groups. He must know that he can't be bogged down in labor negotiations for over 2 years. Thanks to DL's O&D for that.If we are going to take the higher wages of the two...which willl it be?
Just wondered if Delta res agents are union or not? If not/so, anyone know their payscale? Curious if they make more than US or not..(US being HP agents who are still playing catchup with US east)...does that mean if they make more, we are again going to have to have a "contract" we never voted for, and be strung along with having to "inch" our way up the payscale ladder??? It'll be the end of 2007 b4 we catch up with US east, and then ALL premiums will be gone...meaning if you're in HP CSD (which can and does do a heck of a lot more than East CSD--no offense to east..just we seem to be given more authority over issues you don't always have (but hopefully will have soon)..) you are going to make the same as a general sales agent with same amount of years....hmmmm...but we are trained in each and every aspect of res, including Dividend Miles, PTA's, More Care (TA issues), SRD, International, emergency travel, fare rules, DOT compliance, disabilities issues, and a whole slew of other issues, and of course IRATES...oh, and I did forget one very important thing...EXECUTIVE BARTER TRAVEL.
Yup...sure will be interesting how all this pans out....honestly tho...i do believe it will be a positive thing overall...kudos to Doug for this one!! Just let me see the $$$$ honey!!!
Delta only has one employee group that is union and it is the pilotsJust wondered if Delta res agents are union or not?
Delta only has one employee group that is union and it is the pilots
All other employees are non union
FWIW:
DL has one scale for agents. Just over 6,000 agents on the ramp. An additional 3,000 supposedly laid off. An old NMB case suggest possibly as many as 4,000 laid off or separated. Since bankruptcy the Delta employees, union and non union have been hit hard. Ramp used to get paid well over $20. Below is the current pay/benefits:
Top out is around $17.50
paid sick time, 5 days a year is it.
10 holidays. including overtime rates for holidays
double time
4 weeks vacation
regards,
Doesn't anyone find it fishy that in one day DP dropped the "cost-neutral" BS and now says he'll pay whatever the highest scale would be?Some of that is better than our current contract and from what I hear they dont even want to give us that.
So what gives DP?
Careful, Flygirl...don't count that additional pay in your check just yet...If we are going to take the higher wages of the two...which willl it be?
