This week I will be connecting at DFW. I have roughly a 6 hour connection. My In bound flight will arrive either in A or C Terminal and My Departure leaves from the D Terminal. Which Terminal is the best for me to kill my time?

Would there be enough time for me to go to Dallas to see where Kennedy was shot at?

That all depends on how big of a risk taker you are.

P.S. The Grassy Knoll was one of the bigger disappointments of my tourist life. It looked a lot more impressive on TV and in photos.

Kennedy was not shot 'at'.
Since you are 'killing' time, why should it matter?
Better spend time in the Bar... 😛

It is about 20 minutes from the airport to downtown Dallas maybe shorter if traffic is light so there should be time if you rent a car to see the sight and go into the school book depository building to see the six floor where he was shot from.

Last year I would have just done the bar, but now I do not endulge myself, I look for other alternatives. I am not condoning it, but with my medications, I had to stop. Life is more important than a beer and shot. I do miss it, I have to honest.

As to going into Dallas, I am just going to stick in the airport. I'll be back there for a weekend in December when I will going to the Eagles-Cowboys game.

When I have six hours at DFW I catch the shuttle to the AA conference center and visit the CR Smith Museum across the street.

20 minutes from DFW to downtown Dallas? Sometimes takes 15 minutes to get to the perimeter of DFW airport.

I forgot about the CR Smith Museum. That's the ticket, not too far and close enough not to worry about traffic.
I could go out later from PHL, but that means stand by and if I am gonna get up early, I am gonna get out of PHL while I can.
Thanks for the suggestion, thats what I am doing.

OK, I am gonna do the Museum, but 1 problem. Do I have to carry along my carry-on with me? I can not check it due to all my medication that I need, can't risk it getting lost. I would love to check it in, but I can't miss the medication. Maybe 1 day wouldn't be that much of a problem, but for 6 days I would be in trouble.

I don't think there is anywhere in the airport where you can "temporarily" check carry-on luggage; so, yes, you would have to take it with you.

However, before striking out for the C.R.Smith, check to make sure it is open. I was supposed to attend a memorial service there last week, and we had to move the service to another location. We were told the museum was closed for renovation.

The web site Closed Sundays and Mondays, but thanks for the heads up. Looks like I either lug it around with me or just stay at the airport.

Terminal D is the best place to kill time in. It's open and airy with shops and some nice resturants.

Looks like I am going to stay in the terminal. Even if it is open, it won't open until 10 which gives me time to go thru it, but I'll just do some walking in the terminal.

Thanks for the help, I most likely leaning on walking around, probably in D since that Terminal is a new one for me. I will be sitting for 10 Hours on the plane so walking around will do me good. I'll be sleeping on the plane, so no worry about the flight, other than to hope it is a nice day where I live so I can see my House from 37,000 feet.

Thank You for All Your Help and Suggestions! I truely appreciate all of it.

I would agree with 777fixer, D terminal has it all. If you have 6 hours, then yes, you will have time to travel to downtown Dallas, provided it's a weekday. Catch the shuttle to the Trintity Railway Express. This will take you to the downtown train station. Dealy plaza is only a few blocks away. Just avoid the conspiracy theorists....

Do you mean the Grassy Knoll itself or the museum?: http://www.jfk.org/

The latter is not to be missed, no matter what your age.
