Voluntary Leaves for 145 Pilots: The Union voiced our consternation over the fact that the company has offered voluntary leaves because they are “145 heavy†without informing the Local prior to offering the leaves or without providing the terms of the leaves to us. The company stated that due to the reduction by Delta in their daily utilization, it is necessary to lower the number of 145 pilots at Republic Airways Holdings, Inc. They gave a “conservative projection†of cutting 40-50 positions. They stated that offering voluntary leaves would help prevent a furlough at a later time.
