Delta fares

Taxes (in theory) are collected to pay for some govt. asset that you are using. It seems that airlines use more govt. assets than all other public companies (Airports, FAA, Security, etc.) So it does seem correct that they should pay more.

The next great idea to come down is that we should waive the payroll taxes of aviation employees.

[P]But wouldn't it have been nice to actually USE some of that tax money for Airports, FAA, Security, etc, rather than as a nice cushion to balance the budget?[/P]
