Delta...first Airtran, now JetBlue

I wouldn't characterize this as a move to "strengthen" the ATL hub, but rather a move to defend it by dumping seats and making those new flights loss-leaders. While this strategy has worked in the past with varying degrees of success, DAL is only going to pile up more losses, and try to subsidize such operations by borrowing more money. With total debt at over $24 Billion, something's got to break eventually. DAL has never been in the hole this deep, and may never get out of it.
