I wish this flight would stick around. It 's much better than our 0400 van from
LGA to EWR.

[Delta offers flight from LaGuardia to Newark for NHL game] "Delta Air Lines is offering New York Rangers fans a free flight. The catch is that it's a 17 minute flight from LaGuardia Marine Air Terminal Airport to Newark Liberty Airport.

The airline promotion was only open to people who had tickets to Game 3 of the NHL playoff series between the Rangers and the New Jersey Devils.

They were calling Saturday's promotion the "ultimate ride" to the game.

The first-come, first-serve promotion offered:
  • Complimentary seats on a special charter flight, departing at 10am
  • Rangers alumni on flight
  • Rangers gifts and prizes
  • Free ground transportation from Newark Airport to the Prudential Center, and return to LaGuardia after the game
  • The chance for a lucky seat to win a free road trip for two to a Rangers away game during the 12-13 season.
The deadline to sign up was noon on Thursday, May 17th." Delta offers flight from LaGuardia to Newark for NHL game

Hmm, who wants a flight from LGA to EWR when you can just take NJT or get a bus to get from New York City to Newark. Interesting

Have you ever heard of something called "positive press coverage"....

I suspect this flight will be full - and unless DL has plans to provide planes to accomodate everyone who wants to take advantage of this offer a few thousand will want to take it but won't get a seat.
