Looks like DAL didn't like a well loved FA quitting DAL because she needed to take care of her sister with cancer. She couldn't get the FMLA in place because it was her "sister" and not an immeditate family member. I don't know the FMLA policy, but DAL pulled the website down and replaced it with some lame survey/feedback site.

Apparently, DAL reads the boards and actually uses it to their advantage i.e., by taking the pulse of the employees and allowing pilot bashing when it suits DAL, especailly during any contract neogitations or bankruptcy proceedings. And it did get pretty ugly. (BTW, any pilot bashers out there, DAL is hiring pilots and feel free to apply) However, some great suggestions and problem solvers appeared and really enjoyed reading responses.

My point of this post: DO NOT RESPOND TO BizXchange Surveys or anything else they ask!

LET DAL EAT CAKE!

Very true Alice.
I also believe the anti-Union folks they hired told
them that they were craZy to have OPEN and Honest Communication. I enjoyed the InfoXchange and hope maybe this can be a new place for those at Delta to post and share information.
Maybe we can get EmJay,Gigi,CampSandy, Delta1985 ,CokePopper
MargaSJU. Mayor et el on here?

If anyone knows these peoples work emails shoot them an email and point them in this direction. I really enjoyed the old InfoXchange and i will not be doing any of those lame surveys on the new BizXchange. I really feel DAL could have handled this alittle better. Had they had better Mods to begin with on the boards they would have never gotten out of hand. I always understood it was a company board and figured DAL would pull anything they didnt like on there so thats what they should have been doing. DAL let things get to far out of hand and insteed of dealing with it like adults they acted like a bunch of kids and just took their ball and went home. Open and honest communication between the employee groups was very helpful to bringing back the old "family" feeling at Delta. Now its back to the same old crap that we all have tried to get away from this past year. What I would like to see is have everyone join in on the live chats they have with some of the upper executives and only ask questions about why they decided to close the forum down. I know there are so much more important thing for us to worry about but really this was something that a lot of the employees enjoyed and got a lot of our company news from. Oh well i dont see DAL ever bringing it back so hopefully maybe some of the old posteres will head here.

/spelling errors? what spelling errors this isnt a college term paper.

Jasonb324, I tried to contact the above mentioned with my Delta Signature through the BizXchange "Widget". I essentially was told by the "Widget " to take a #### hike. It appears now that we have "emerged" and the Execs got their piece of the apple pie (millions), we can all take the #### meted out to us or...take a #### hike! Looks like the hayride is over. :jerry: :jerry:

They still want to know what the "peeps" think. Because they are too lazy to "toe the line". That is why they have that lame survey site. Don't respond. Period. They will start begging soon....that is "if" no one responds.

Silence Speaks Volumes...,IMHO get a union!

BTW, if you have an account at the DAL credit union, find another way to do business. Then watch them beg.

Unity is powerful.

That is why they shut down communications.

I hear you on the silence act Alice Cramden, but unions don't mean diddley squat anymore; also don't knock the credit union, if you haven't noticed they changed their name from the "Delta Employess Credit Union" to the "Delta Community Credit Union". It is a business enterprise totally separate from Delta Airlines.

I'm still mourning the loss of the InfoXchange. It was a valuable tool for employees to share travel ideas, discounts, etc [besides the obvious communication channels for work-related issues].
I am very happy that a Delta employee and I were chatting about it and I got this link as a result of our conversation.

I hope someone will direct me to a website where we can communicate our travel info once again.
Thanks a bunch!

Don't feel bad, I too really miss the InfoXchange. They finally took down the banner in the portal, now that we have a new CEO.

Ophh! Yawn! Yikes! I have been asleep for awhile, but I can not believe what has happened at Delta! True the InfoXchange is gone but we have this FORUM! I have the highest respect for JG for what I perceive as an enlightment by JG and the Delta BOD; JW is GONE! We at Delta have been trashed by a McDonald's mindset ideology set forth by JW; the new CEO (a seasoned aviator) is proof to me that we are finally cleared for take off!!!!!

Your saying Whitehurst had a "McDonald's mindset ideology"? How so? I can only hope our "seasoned aviator" is worth the $15 million Delta and the BOD have chosen to pay him.

Perhaps "McDonald's mindset ideology" might sound a little simplistic to say; granted JW was highly educated, however I felt he did not have the experience to run an airline. Airlines are complex industries with many variables; not that I am saying I know better, but I have seen what does work. To treat an airline like a typical service business just doesn't work with so called "Lean Processes". Everything was overkill, cutting back on manpower to the point where customer service and aircraft reliability go down.......then rehire. Quality is still down......then raise entry level pay. I felt like the Company was being run by school book theorists with no concept of reality. Granted the industry in whole wasn't doing too well and JG did a good job navigating the Company through BK; but I think something was said with bringing in Andersen, especially with JW resigning shortly thereafter.

I have to disagree. I think that what the airlines truly needed was somebody to think outside of the realm of legacy thought that has plagued the big guys for so long. Not since Kelleher has the US aviation industry had an outside thinker. Neeleman tried but lost his vision by just entering into a plane ordering contest with no idea of where to put them. Chasing off Whitehurst and bringing in a seasoned LEGACY leader was not a move towards continueing to bolster the "fresh start" that DL was working on. Whitehurst brought a Branson-esque flair (which is why he'll now go head Virgin America if his non-compete clause will allow) and sought to invigorate the service and yes...to find areas that could be changed. Simply b/c something has been done one way for decades in this industry is not a reason to not want to change it. Anderson taking the helm will guarantee that we head right back into "legacy-ship" by thinking like an old hub-and-spoke carrier. He is, after all, the one that helped pave the road to NW's BK. Don't forget a past with Lorenzo. Chasing off Whitehurst in order to bring in people that will restore the management to late-90's style was the absolute wrong thing to do. I'll take McDonald's over Ponderosa any day.
