DFW, here we come

I would still expect we should be at DFW by the end of 2026.

You really need to start “reading” the articles you post. Reading these quotes tells me that your Airline isn’t exactly nipping at anyone’s heels any more these days.

“DFW does not have additional gate space at the moment, and Southwest has not provided a set timeline for when service could begin there.

Meanwhile, competitor American Airlines is actively pushing on a major expansion at DFW with the upcoming Terminal F that American will exclusively operate with 31 gates.

Dallas isn't the only region in which Southwest is limited to just one of the major airports. Southwest notably exited George Bush Intercontinental Airport last year amid slowed production from Boeing. As a result, Houstonians only fly Southwest through William P. Hobby Airport”

What makes you think I didn't read it. Just because there is no gate space currently has nothing to do with Southwest heading to DFW. Insider talks are saying towards the end of 2026. Now rather that means we will be there or just have it announced by then remains to be seen.
What you fail to realize is I said this more than 10 years ago right after the first lifting of the W/A starting to go away. I reinstated it again a little more than a year ago when we were told by upper management that DFW is looking more and more greater as time goes on. A here we now Have our CEO talking about it in news articles. It's going to happen Weez, just can't nail down the exact timing as of yet.
Also remember I said, one day Southwest will get the last and final restriction retired about international flying out of LF. As they already have the area laid out and marked out on blueprints the customs inspection and security area when they redid LF into what it is now. May not happen in my time, but it is coming down the road.

Just because SWA or any other Airline for that matter might want something doesn’t mean it’s going to actually happen. Or even if it did it’s not going to matter much.

Let’s say some day your Airline does get a little gate space. Do you really think AA is going to cede the room for them? Or what kind of competition would they be against AA’s gazillion flights? If you’re thinking they’re going to be that’s as crazy as me saying AA can hurt Delta in ATL.

And the days of the SWA effect are over against all the Majors that are left (AA, DAL, UAL) They have all different seat 💺 and cost offerings that match anything SWA can ever consider offering. IE: Basic Economy, Economy, Economy Plus, Economy Extra, Etc. You name it.

So even if SWA were to wiggle in a small drop of room at DFW I’m not sure where they’d fly or why anyone would want to fly them? They’d be a tiny bit player there and I’m sure put in the worst and oldest terminal with little concessioners nearby.

So SWA in DFW. What’s the point?

And BTW please 🙏 stop thinking you’re a soothsayer or something. Everyone has been able to read the same things as you all these years.

I asked Grok a few questions about the feasibility of SWA getting into DFW and this was its answers.

Weez. Stop the BS. You know I never said SWA was going to put a hurting on AA @ DFW. And BTW, I also said SWA wouldn't put a dent into Delta's competition at ATL.

Wrong weez. the Southwest effect is still happening, and yes against the carriers you have listed. Matter fact it just happened over in Hawaii. Now lets see if SWA can get up enough flights for it to happen with the newest flights up in Alaska, we shall see.

Pretty sure SWA will focus on international flying out of DFW first. But they still might throw in some at the stronger/popular routes, but we have been told a larger focus on international.

Correction on your soothsayer comment. The fact is I said it before it was ever announced or even thought of more than 10 years ago weez and you know this as YOU as well as others on here said it would never happen just after the start lift of the W/A. The same time I said SWA will eventually get all restrictions removed in time.
I also stated that there is an area being built into the revamp build at LF for the custom inspection/security areas so they will be able to very quickly ramp those up when the time comes. And why would the COD sign off on the rebuild knowing of this area if they too are not onboard. These areas were never revealed in the news that I am aware of, it was kept behind closed doors and quiet. The only reason we came across this was 2 of our on property unions were given tours of the new facilities while under construction and they seen them as well as the drawings laid out on work tables. They are currently behind closed doors and walls not to be seen as of yet by the public.

He just proved your point. The guy lives in his own mind detached from reality.

BTW next year AMFA takes over representation of all the Airline Mechanics 🧰 on Earth too.

He still thinks hes the highest paid aircraft mechanic. Hes not. Sooner or later southwest is done. And dont bring that cult crap culture you got to another airline, they usually drug test people at other places to see if they're on something for acting to cult like 😂. The longer you are there, the more brain wash and retarded you become.

"Southwest effect" a stupid cult like terminology coined by cult followers like swa mech who believes people actually like flying a crap service airline.
