He pulled all the strings with little or no regard for the consequences. In 1994 I believe he gave an interview (it's on line) where he was asked about H Bush going into Iraq and unseating Sadam. Cheney said it would be a clusterphuck and a royally bad idea. I wonder what made him change his mind. I wonder if his links to Halliburton had anything to do with it. He had Iraq pegged in 1994 and failed to follow his own prediction. Something has to be behind that change of mind. It sure as hell was not logic.

Of course he was the puppet master! Bush was just the front man running the store while the neo-con con game went on in the back room. Poor Dick. Their Bushlevik revolution never quite came to fruition, though it did a lot of damage along the way.

Ol' Alan Simpson (R) Sen. WY/retired is the Best Republican of all time in my book, and I can count on one hand how many good REPUGS there are, or have been and have some fingers 'left over' !

Even fellow Wyomingite Simpson just smiles and shakes his head when discussing Cheney, all the while everyone knows Al Simpson is trying hard to be polite.

Well south...the 2007 Congress has pretty much been described as a "do nothing" Congress...that being the case, perhaps you could cite NOT what the economy did, but what the DEMOCRATS did to make the economy do what it was doing...after all, if they did nothing, the glory of the Bush years should have kept on truckin'.

Also...one thing I find interesting is that when democrats are in Congress under a republican president, everything bad is layed at their feet. Witness your post. But when some real sheyat is passed, such as NAFTA and the Gramm/Leach/Bliley Act, both championed for years by the republicans....when the results of those acts hits the fan, the typical reply from the right is "Well....look who signed it".
 
If you look in the REPUG 'Bull Pen ' TODAY, there is NO ONE who has a chance to win in '16.
NOT Rubio, who is already caving into the Radical GOP wing, Not Ryan, Not (Aunt TOMISINA) Condi, Haley Barbour(I LOOK like Maxwell-the-PIG), NO ONE/NADA/ZIP/ZILCH !

The Only one who could 'pull it off' IMHO is John Huntsman,who doesn't 'G-A-Shite' about the Karl Roves, FUX News etc, but the Screwed up mind set of one half of REPUG voters, just don't GET IT, about how Huntsman could keep this Terminally ILL Party...alive !

That wasn't the question. You are claiming that the economy tanked because of the 2007 Congress. Could you please point to what they did that caused that to happen?
