The airline's pilots union, the Air Line Pilots Association, also expressed doubts about the likelihood of a successful merger. Delta has about 6,000 active pilots.
"On the surface, (it) appears to lack any substantial benefit for Delta, its employees, our communities, or our customers," Lee Moak, chairman of the union, wrote in a memo to pilots. "Should this merger be as misguided and as poor an idea as I currently believe it to be, then I will deploy every available resource to stop it."

Maybe they know of a certain captain in the US ranks and don't want another B.O.B...... Or it could be he has seen the plan now twice and as one of the larger creditors really sees no merit in it. Think about it.....
